Please be aware that the University are commencing building work which will affect access to the Richard Verney Health Centre from Monday 6 August 2018 and will continue for a period of up to 18 months. Our disabled ramp access and entire access at basement level will close from this date for the duration of the building work.
The stepped side entrance to the health centre will then become our main entry/exit route.
The University have designated an alternative accessible route for those who can not manage the steps which will be signposted from the commencement of the project. Anyone requiring assistance to use this route will be able to telephone for University assistance and details of the contact number will be on the signs.
We do apologise for any inconvenience this will cause. Please be assured that we have sought changes and adaptations for our patients to minimize inconvenience during this work. We appreciate your patience and assistance with this.
Please do give yourself extra time to get to your appointment as you may be delayed during busy times whilst using this alternative entry route

SPIRE
Scottish Primary care information resource
NHSScotland is improving the way it uses information from GP patient records. SPIRE is a service that will allow small amounts of information from GP practice records to be used to help doctors’ surgeries, NHSScotland and the Scottish Government to improve care and plan services, and to help researchers to learn more from the patient information held at GP practices.
A new campaign is underway to inform patients across Scotland of the benefits of the service, and the confidential and secure way in which GP patient records will be used to help plan and improve health care service.
You have a choice about your patient record being used in this way. If you choose not to share your information then an Opt out form can be printed from the SPIRE website at spire.scot , but please remember to complete the form in English.
To find out more go to spire.scot and for any queries call NHS inform on 0800 22 44 88
